#1 – Staff Development Coordinator – Nantucket

Full Time: Deliver programs designed to meet the educational and training needs of the clinical staff. This may include, but is not limited to, clinical teaching and mentoring in staff education and performance of clinical staff, identifying, developing, and implementing educational and training programs, and maintaining records, schedules, calendars, and database of certifications. Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse currently licensed in Massachusetts with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Education; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. A minimum of two years of administrative nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Full-time; Benefits; Union position; Starting hourly wage $40.88 per hour. #2- Community Engagement Manager – Upper Cape  

Full Time: Responsible for managing and implementing engagement efforts to maximize the use of Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) data among the scientific community, resulting in increased OOI-based publications in peer-reviewed journals, citations of those publications, and funded awards to use OOI or infrastructure for scientific research. Identify and develop OOI related content and to amplify stories and messaging using channels including meetings, print, social media, email, and web.  Develop and implement a strategic plan for OOI use of social media, email, and other content channels informing target audiences of current activities and opportunities   Create and disseminate quarterly newsletters and program announcements. Use professional conferences as venues to enhance engagement. Host virtual and live events for new and existing users.  Bachelors in a relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred   Minimum five years of experience working in targeted community engagement or communications roles, preferably for a scientific or engineering organization   Demonstrated proficiency with planning and implementation of strategies for websites, social media, and other communication mechanisms with strong content writing skills required.   Strong Computer skills required include: WordPress, Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook.
