The storm, which has been very tough to forecast, keeps wobbling on her track. A few days ago, it looked like mostly rain for us. Yesterday, it was all snow, with SE Mass getting the worst of it. Now, they have a rain/snow line working in to Middleboro or so.

Basically, if you can drive to the beach in 10 minutes or so, you'll end up with some mixing later today that will drive snowfall totals down. It's snowing hard (4:15 AM) now in the village of Buzzards Bay, but the mix line is just offshore.

Plan on 1-3 inches on the outer Cape if you get any at all, and maybe 2-5" closer to the Canal, depending on the timing and length of the changeover. Snowfall totals elevate as you go inland, anywhere from 4-12".

The morning commute should be ridiculous, especially as you near/cross the bridges. Allow yourself some extra time, and drive carefully. Things were bad yesterday, even though it was sunny.

We'll be back later in the morning with an update.

6 AM, Snowing hard in the village of Buzzards Bay (huge, fat flakes, 2" across), raining on outer Cape, mix line in Falmouth.

8 AM radar to right --->

8 AM...raining in the village of Buzzards Bay, rain/sleet/snow line running basically along the Canal, snowing heavily just over the bridge and along the inner South Coast, treacherous driving

10 AN... Buzzards Bay turns back to snow

Coldest weather in 3 years coming...weekend lows below zero in some spots, especially Sunday and Monday morning.
