The Weather Genie says: ...ACCUMULATING SNOW THIS MORNING FOR COASTAL EASTERN MA INCLUDING CAPE COD...

AT 8 AM SNOW WAS FALLING FROM THE NORTH SHORE SOUTHWARD INTO THE CITY OF BOSTON AND ALONG COASTAL PLYMOUTH COUNTY...EXTENDING EASTWARD TO THE OUTER CAPE. 

THIS BAND OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO PIVOT SOUTHWARD OVERSPREADING THE REMAINDER OF PLYMOUTH COUNTY AND CAPE COD INCLUDING MARTHAS VINEYARD AND NANTUCKET THROUGH 10 AM. MOST LOCATIONS IN THIS AREA WILL RECEIVE A QUICK INCH OR TWO OF SNOWFALL WITH ROADS BECOMING SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

FARTHER NORTH OVER BOSTON AND THE NORTH SHORE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO FLURRIES BETWEEN 830 AM AND 9 AM...WITH ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF A COATING TO AN INCH. HOWEVER ACROSS COASTAL PLYMOUTH COUNTY AND ESPECIALLY CAPE COD ONE OR TWO INCHES OF SNOWFALL WILL BE COMMON ALONG WITH A FEW LOCATIONS POSSIBLY PICKING UP 3 TO 4 INCHES.

SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO FLURRIES ACROSS PLYMOUTH COUNTY AND CAPE COD INCLUDING THE ISLANDS BETWEEN 10 AM AND NOON.
