Hildick, Richard William, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Brewster on September 16, 2015. Dick was born October 2, 1928 in East Orange, NJ, son of Francis George and Anna Augusta Hildick. He entered the Navy at 17 and served for two years in the Mediterranean, which he felt was a life changing experience. He then went to the College of William and Mary graduating with a business degree. He met and married Peggy Martin and they began their life in New York. He worked for General Electric for 35 years then retired with Peggy to Brewster.He was a long standing member of the Orleans United Methodist Church and was also a Master Mason which he took great pride in. After Peggy's passing he was fortunate enough to find a new life with Adele Kew. They spent many years traveling to Europe and wintering in Florida. Dick is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Robin & Martin Clifford and Susan & William Weckman and son-in-law David Bartlett, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 stepsons, David Kew and Dana Kew and 2 stepdaughters, Cindy Baker and Susan Brueckner, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Rebecca Ann Bartlett, his first wife Peggy and second wife Adele. Services are Monday, September 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Orleans United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod, 434 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA 02660.
