From the Town of Barnstable:

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America. While Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start of summer, we hope that whatever your weekend plans, you will take a moment to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Town of Barnstable has two events: the Annual Memorial Day Parade which kicks off in Centerville from the Centerville Library at 10:00 AM, making a stop at Memorial Square and followed by a program at the Beechwood Cemetery and the Annual John F. Kennedy Memorial event which follows at 12:15 PM at the JFK Memorial on Ocean Street in Hyannis.
