HYCC Will be a Family Cooling Center Saturday

Need a cool place to hang out Saturday?

The Town of Barnstable and the Barnstable Recreation Division invite families and youth to come and cool off inside at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center on Saturday, July 20, 2019!

The Lyndon P. Lorusso Youth Center will open at Noon and membership requirements will be waived for the day! The gymnasium, game room and walking track will be available for all to enjoy. Please note: youths under the age of 10 are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Public Skating is scheduled from 12:30-2:00 PM and admission fees will also be waived. Skate rentals will be just $5 for any size.

The skate park will be closed until 5:00 PM and will open only if the temperatures go down below 80 degrees.

The Hyannis Youth & Community Center is owned by the Town of Barnstable and operated by the Recreation Division of the Community Services Department.  The multi-sports indoor facility opened in 2009 and offers basketball, volleyball, ice skating and other recreational activities year round for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.  Annual memberships are available starting at just $20 for residents of the Town of Barnstable ($40 for non-residents) and day passes are available for $5.  Public ice skating sessions are available daily for an extra fee and rental skates are available in both hockey and figure skates for toddler through adult sizes.  More information is available at https://townofbarnstable.us/hycc or call 508-790-6345.
