Night Bridge Work to Continue Next Week

Work hours 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

From the Army Corps of Engineers:

Please be advised that night time work will continue next week on the Cape Cod Canal’s Bourne Bridge and Sagamore Bridge – between Monday, July 22nd and Friday 26th between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Work planned for the week of July 15th was not completed due to the heavy rainstorms.

Work on the bridges will occur on different nights. There will be one lane in each direction on only one bridge at a time when work is occurring. All travel lanes will be open each day outside of the work shifts occurring at night.

The bridge repair work is critical to maintaining the structural integrity of the bridges, which are a vital component to the transportation system of Massachusetts.
