Friends Food Pantry seeking Volunteers to Assist with the Fight against Hunger.

Volunteers play a vital role in providing support to those in need in our local community...

The Friends Food Pantry at 20 Commerce Park Road in Pocasset is seeking volunteers to join in the fight against hunger. Volunteering for the Pantry is rewarding and enjoyable. Volunteers are not required to have previous training, and opportunities are open in several areas of Pantry operations. There are both direct service opportunities available such as client escorting and non-direct service opportunities available such as sorting and restocking.

The greatest need is for volunteers able to assist with restock of the food shelves prior to client shopping days. Must be able to lift and carry cans of food.

The Friends Food Pantry is committed to providing support services to Bourne residents in need due to economic hardship. The Pantry serves over 500 families from our local community each year. Volunteers play a vital role at the Pantry and we are always in need of caring, compassionate volunteers to help us carry out our mission.
